Diversifying a field with as much racial disparity as science can seem like an impossible task to take on, but where best to start than with the scientists of tomorrow? Being able to see yourself in the faces of today's innovators and trail-blazers is as important as a science education. Here at Black Scientists Initiative, we believe matching black, high school scientists with black mentors will not only better the field of science, but the community.
